The Bachelor's Gadget

When I was small , I used to speed through my home in my imaginary motor bike. I used to remember that my favorite home appliance was nothing but the mixer grinder.

I was very much fascinated by it because in a way it resembled a lorry. Not only in its looks and sound but also you could increase its speed just like any manual transmission automobile.

The one that I didn't like was the Pressure Cooker, because it looked like a helicopter and behaved like a steam engine.Although nobody asked me,"How could you then imagine a bike from nothing?"

For some reason I wasn't convinced.

Today, almost 20 years later - I should say that the Pressure Cooker is one of  the biggest invention of the 21 century.

Just one cup of rice, two cups of water , wait for just 5 minutes and you are done...The rice is cooked...Wow!

The absolute gadget for a bachelor.

With all my excitement , I told this to my friend Naren. He looked at me with the emotion of a dead man. It was like, I just told him that elephants were heavy.

Not a single human I told this was excited..I felt like a moron.

But I am very sure a Person as lazy as me has already taken birth on this planet

-a person who would have never washed a plate in his lifetime,

-a person who would have never entered his kitchen other than to drink water.

-a person who would, after years, under circumstance be forced to cook his own food.

It will be on that particular day...

I would sigh when he would run out to the streets yelling "Eureka...Eureka....the pressure cooker is the absolute gadget for a bachelor !!!."

I am waiting for that day.
